Fireworks over Cripple Creek

$0.00

Right about now you’re wondering what on earth is wrong with me, no one takes black and white pictures of fireworks, fireworks are all about color. That is what I thought too—until I took this shot. For some reason while “developing” (editing) this image I felt compelled to see what would happen if I removed all color. It was a stroke of genius! I know, I know, half of you are thinking it’s so dramatic it’s awesome but the other half are thinking, “if that’s genius then I’m Einstein.”

Here’s the thing, removing the color took the emphasis off the saturated patterns and let the drama of the scene speak. It truly is a unique way to look at it. Love it or hate it it’s different, polarizing, dramatic.

I love it.
